Please note that the work on the redevelopment of Glasgow Queen Street started on 7 August 2017 and is expected to last until 31 March 2020.
Access into the station is now restricted to two entrances - Dundas Street and North Hanover Street. There are currently no drop-off facilities, however passengers using our Passenger Assistance service have the option to be dropped-off at designated "drop-off/pick-up point". This is located in the front of the Millenium hotel on George Square, where they will be met by one of our dedicated passenger assist staff and supported for onward travel.
Similarly if a passenger arrives in Queen Street, they will be escorted to the pick-up point by one of the passenger assist team. A Passenger Assist stand is located on the main station concourse, passengers who require assistance can request so here. The stand will be staffed at the following times: Monday -Saturday: 7am-9pm Sunday: 10am-6pm.
Blue Badge spaces are directly opposite the Millennium Hotel on George Square and there is a taxi rank outside the Millennium Hotel.
Ticket office facilities can be found on Dundas Street directly opposite to the main entrance to the station.
It is recommended that customers who need assistance, can request this by contacting ScotRail Assisted Travel
During the period 16th September to 13th October 2019 platforms 4 & 5, high level station will be closed whilst they are extended as part of the redevelopment works. While the majority of train services into the high level station will be unaffected there will be a few changes to some services that will now start/end their journeys before Queen Street.
